Mrs Macintosh, Balham
The client wanted to turn the adjoining bedroom into a walk in dressing area and en-suite. We cut the opening, took up the floor and stripped back to brick. The plumbing proved a little awkward but we managed to join the new waste pipe into the one next door in another bathroom. After levelling a very uneven floor and floating and setting the walls, we installed new LEDs, and ran all the pipework. We fitted the hand built wardrobes and then tiled the shower enclosure and floor. After tiling an antique unit, we fitted the 2 basins and painted it in with the other woodwork. The customer was keen on having the chimney breast remain but we couldn’t hide all the pipework so we boxed it all then put our ‘brick render’ on top. This can be made to look like any brick, any colour and any age. We painted this to match in with the room and installed the cast iron bath leaving a high end en-suite with plenty of wardrobe space.
Andy and the team have given me the most fabulous bathroom, it has been delivered to the highest quality with great attention to detail. The team are always looking for the right way to do something, not the easiest which is pretty reassuring when you have had some building disasters in the past. Andy helped me source materials to enable me to get the best value for money plus recommended various design features to give the bathroom that slick finish.
